Hotel La Tavernetta was a last minute Scopello find when our airbnb unexpectedly fell through. It was a fortuitous change in events.

The staff at La Tavernetta couldn't have been kinder, cobbling together a last minute schedule of rotating rooms so that their facility could accommodate us. We were lucky: people from the street inquired about rooms while we were waiting for the last.

This kindness and generosity extended to every employee on the premise : many of whom routinely went out of their way to answer our requests. Even more impressive are the spotless grounds with spectacular views of endless rainbows through the sporadic clouds, mountains and sea. The rooms were wonderful, and all seemed to have private outdoor areas - perfect for working in the gorgeous Sicilian mornings. The bar was wonderful. The amenities were perfect.

Beautiful hotel in Scopello. The owner Maria was so kind and helpful. The location is unbeatable. They provide private access to the beach at the Tonnara but you have to request it. We weren’t aware of this and missed out. The grounds are gorgeous. Maria even personally called around and booked a boating excursion for us. Will definitely be back and will stay longer next time
