 Three days focused on the celebrations of the Patron Saint of Castellammare del Golfo, Maria SS del Soccorso: the latter is the key word of the event. Legend has it, in fact, that it was the Madonna dressed in white, together with the angels, invoked by the people of Castellammare, who came to the rescue and chased away a threatening group of English ships attacking a Spanish vessel defended by thepeople of Castellammare.

During the three days, the most awaited moment is the procession at sea. The simulacrum of the Virgin, in fact, after being carried on the shoulders by the sailors along the streets of the city centre accompanied by the singing of the Rosary (in the Castellammarese dialect) by the faithful. It is then transported in a procession by boat: the show of night-lights in the sea is fabulous. The fireworks conclude this a religious and cultural moment which is not to be missed.

During the 3 days of celebrations, there is also a fair in the main square of the village.
